Yvette Rock

Yvette Rock is a painter, object-maker, photographer and performer exploring how the Passage of Time intersects with nature, motherhood, identity, memory, history and physical spaces. These works are often connected to Rock’s relationship with the people and landscape of the city of Detroit where she has resided for 23 years.  Rock is not locked into one type of style or technique; instead, she fosters a dialogue between the concept and process to make moving pieces layered with meaning; art that is ambitious, technical and experimental; art that is bold, detailed and unpredictable.
